My experience preparing for the TBRS certification has been incredibly fulfilling, offering a deep introduction to Taiwanese tea. I’ve gained a greater appreciation for the craftsmanship behind different styles, from fragrant oolongs to more oxidized teas. Learning about terroir, processing techniques, and tasting has enriched both my knowledge and sensory awareness. The experience has expanded my palate and also deepened my respect for tea culture in Taiwan. As someone who looks forward to open a tea house in the near future, this has been an inspiring and enriching journey.
